And so begins another entry on a Gossip Girl episode.
I have to say, I'm enjoying the focus on the other two characters for once. Chuck is engrossed in finding out who his mother is (and finally finds out that it is indeed Diana!) and Serena has her Gossip Girl gig. Only problem is that Lola suspects and finds out that it is her and confronts her about it! Even Diana finds out about it (looks like Serena's not as good as being subtle as she thought). Diana offers to keep their partnership secret but Serena later overhears her on the phone later. It turns out she was the one who donated blood to save Chuck that night! Lola, thinking that she has finally found the proof that she needs to show the rest of the UES that Serena is the "real" Gossip Girl, sends Diana's recorded confession to Gossip Girl.
This ruins Dan and Blair's British-themed salon coming-out party, inspired by the Brangelina of the Five Boroughs. Although this wasn't the first thing to try to disrupt their party. Serena, Lola, Nate and Chuck all crashed it at the beginning. This draws Blair into a depression as she worries that their relationship/pairing will not work. It takes a lot of convincing from Dan that things will be alright if they're together. Dan and Blair end up spending the night together and exchanging witty banter.
Lily and Rufus were on the verge of getting back together but Lily finds out that Rufus has been putting up Ivy in a hotel. This drives her into a fury and further drives the wedge between them. Rufus is later seen in a coffee shop and told his debit card has been declined. He pays with cash and is seen with a look of worry on his face.
So ends another Gossip Girl episode and we are one step closer to the season finale. I hear from many sources that big drama is on the horizon. I can only hope we are ready to hear it!
Till then,
The Omnipresent Publicist
